The most famous Dala Horses are made in the villages around Mora, Sweden, especially Nusnäs, in the province of Dalarna in central Sweden. Over the years the handcarved and painted Dala Horse has become a symbol of authentic Swedish handicraft and one of Sweden's most popular souvenirs. These Dala Horses are made at the Grannas Olsson Hemslöjd.
