The 2026 Hemslöjd Collector's ornament celebrates our shared American and Swedish heritage by combining the traditional Swedish Dala Horse with America's colors of red, white and blue. The right side features the years 1776-2026 to mark the 250th anniversary of America's founding. The left side can be personalized with up to 13 characters. 

This ornament is hand-painted in our Lindsborg, KS workshop. 3" wide x 3" high, includes string for hanging.

Chains, screw-eyes are included. Display bracket sold separately.

Since 1984, Hemslöjd has handcrafted Personalized Dala Horse Signs for homes all around the world. We are excited to offer you one of our newest designs - the Dala Cat! Each Dala Cat is handcrafted and painted here in our Lindsborg, KS workshop. Our Dala Cat Sign is weather-hardy and made to be displayed outdoors. 13" x 8" x 0.5".

Each sign is hand-decorated and lettered on both sides by Hemslöjd's folk-artists. Please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery of this personalized item. Our Dala Cat Sign is weather-hardy and made to be displayed outdoors.

CARE TIPS: Thoroughly wash and dry your sign then brush or spray on a coat of satin-finish water-based polyurethane.

DISPLAY TIPS: Predrill holes for the screw-eyes using a 1/8" drill-bit to prevent splitting of the wood. See the diagram to properly locate the screw-eyes.

PLEASE NOTE! When ordering, please specify the inscriptions you want lettered on both sides (front and back) of your Dala Cat Sign. Most popular are: family name, "Välkommen" or "Kom igen" ("welcome" or "come again" in Swedish). We can also letter your house number or "welcome" in many other languages. Inscriptions are limited to 13 characters. Actual design of Dala Cat may vary.

Hemslöjd has traditional Swedish design 50-inch tall fiberglass Dala horses available. The mold for these horses was a wooden horse made here in our workshop, and the fiberglass horses are made in the US. It can be painted by our folk artist in the traditional design, or can be customized or sold without decoration. The horse comes with a decorated wood base. These are perfect for Swedish clubs, groups, businesses and towns. Perhaps even in your living room or front porch! The horse is 50" tall x 41.5" long x 32" wide. Customer will pay actual shipping costs which will be calculated upon completion. The horse is shipped via freight, or may be picked up at our gift store in Lindsborg, KS. The wood base is used for crating and therefore will have screw holes in the side. Wood base is 48" long x 16" wide x 4.25" tall.

Made in our own woodshop, a modern design for your Easter or Christmas tree! Each ornament is hand-painted by our artists. Designs may vary slightly from the photo. Approximately 3 1/4" tall by 2 3/4" wide with hanging string. Pack of four pastel ornaments: one pink, one blue, one green, one purple.

Made by our local blacksmith, this 17" black iron bracket is the perfect way to display your Dala Horse Sign from a wall or post. It fits all of our 14" and 11" Dala Horse Signs, plus the Fjord Horse and Heart Sign. Durable powdercoat finish.

We make these simple little Dala horses from the leftover wood in our workshop. These horses are flat, about 3" tall and approx. 1/4" thick (varies slightly). Ready to be sanded and decorated.
