Whit
Sunday, or Pentecost, celebrates the visit of the Holy Spirit upon
Christ's disciples. Whit Sunday is traditionally a day for
picnicking. Swedes also decorate their homes with bouquets
and leafy branches, although the custom is not as widespread as at
Midsummer.
